NEWS/INFORMATION

Venango County Landlord Association...

The Venango County Landlord Association, Inc., is a newly-formed organization that provides education and networking opportunities in the Venango County area.

The Venango County Landlord Association, Inc., is a non-profit corporation organized by landlords for landlords to assist in getting quality tenants, protecting themselves in the legal process, and disseminating important information to each other in both the commercial and residential rental context.

The Venango County Landlord Association, Inc., intends to provide the following:

  1. A database of complaints filed against tenants by landlords.

  2. Credit reports.  We intend to provide the first credit report free, and thereafter for a modest fee, which the landlord could collect as part of an application fee.

  3. Venango County Landlord Association, Inc., will provide forms, including tenant applications, lead based paint information booklets and disclosures, leases, notice to quit (eviction notice), sample lease termination letters, district justice landlord tenant complaint.

  4. Venango County Landlord Association, Inc., will provide a periodic newsletter to all members.

  5. Venango County Landlord Association, Inc., will provide periodic educational meetings.  These meetings will be designed to discuss problems encountered by landlords, including the eviction process, what to put in your lease and how to use it, and tenant selection and screening.  These meetings will be offered quarterly during 2004.
